Carolyn Pritchett Aponte RID, ASID
Carolyn began her career in Interior Design in New York City as a Technical Project Specialist for the iconic furniture company Knoll, Inc. (now MillerKnoll). In this role, she developed custom furniture applications for high-profile clients, cultivating a deep, nuanced understanding of the custom product process.
From there, Carolyn transitioned into residential design, joining JD Bell, Inc. as an Interior Designer. While overseeing a high-end renovation of a 2,000-square-foot Tribeca loft, she discovered a passion for construction management and went on to join Soho Construction Group in that capacity. Working alongside her crew on-site deepened her command of construction processes—an education she considers the most formative of her career.
What began as a side hustle in New York City in 2010, and was fully realized in Austin in 2017, has grown into CPID, LLC: a licensed, full-service Interior Design and Renovation Management firm serving Austin, the Hill Country, and beyond. Carolyn believes that interior design and construction are inextricably linked—vision and craftsmanship are inseparable, each incomplete without the other.
A native of Fairhope, Alabama, Carolyn earned her degree in Interior Design and Art History from The University of Alabama before spending the first twelve years of her career in New York City. She now resides in Austin, Texas, with her husband, daughter, and two cats. Roll Tide.

Carolyn believes that an Interior Designer is only as good as their contractor. One cannot be successful without the other, which is why she has joined forces with the best contractor in Austin to deliver a seamless, high-end experience to her clients.

Custom furniture applications should be built around the way you live and work. Cabinetry, millwork, and built-in pieces are thoughtfully designed and then crafted and installed by our master carpenter.
Historic Preservation
The architectural treasures that surround us can and should be brought back to life, if possible. Carolyn champions the idea that Industry leaders have a responsibility to preserve and restore these structures rather than demolishing them.
